We have been in much prayer over the last few months and talking to many different people about the direction of student ministries. We have come to some conclusions and have an “Interim” transition plan that will go into effect January 11th-June 6th 2012.
The Student Ministry principles/values:
1. Adult VOLUNTEER led student ministry!
2. Sustainability
3. Focus on disciple-making (disciples who make disciples who make disciples one person at a time)
4. Life change happens best in the context of missional communities (groups of 20-40).
5. Creating a family-friendly rhythm of life for all students
6. Helping students live on mission together in their schools and community with a balanced rhythm of church programming and events
7. Raising up student leaders!
Strategy – UP (Jesus), IN (Community), OUT (Mission) everything will have an UP, IN and OUT rhythm to it in the process of student disciple-making.
