We are in need of singers to join our adult Christmas choir and sing a special arrangement of “Angels We Have Heard on High” on Dec 17th! The practices will begin on Oct 29 from 11:15am - 12:00pm in the Auditorium, except on November 19 rehearsal will be in the Fireside Room. They will be the same time every Sunday through Dec. 10th, with the exception of November 26 which won’t have a practice. There is also one additional dress rehearsal on Saturday Dec. 16th.
We will be donating 20 Thanksgiving meals to families who otherwise would not have Thanksgiving in their homes this year. There are lots of things to purchase so please check the lobby for items you want to bring. You can also make a financial donation by writing Thanksgiving Meals on the memo line. All donations need to arrive at the church on or before November 19. We will be donating to Sandhill School and within our church family.
Chrismon Creation Night is for all ages from 3 - 103! Friday, November 17 starting at 6:30pm in Rm 100. Come together for an evening of creating ornaments for our Christmas tree in the sanctuary. These ornaments are called Chrismons because of the symbolic meanings of Jesus' life and our Heavenly Father that each ornament represents. All Chrismons will be hung during a special Chrismon Service on Sunday, Nov 26. The kits range from very simple decorating to more intricate bead and wire creations. Many hands are needed!
It's Districts 2018! Districts is the premier event for Student Ministries. The FLD Districts Youth Conference in Green Bay is an exciting, 3-day retreat full of fantastic worship, world-class teaching, service opportunities, seminars, prayer, new friends, and more fun than you'll know what to do with! Each year's theme seeks to provide opportunities for students to fall deeper in love with Jesus, while also introducing hundreds of students each year to a personal relationship with Jesus. This year's theme, "The Real Jesus", is about meeting the real Jesus, no matter who you are, what struggles you're facing, or what you've been through.

Bring your family and friends to our 2nd annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 5-7pm in the church parking lot. We will have trunk or treating, bouncy houses, walking tacos, and wear your best costume! (please keep costumes G-rated - no weapons - not too scary). Open to the entire Stoughton community so invite your neighbors too!

LakeView’s Library Team is sponsoring a three-tiered book drive to help the children of Houston whose homes and schools were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. In addition to our elementary schools and our local community, our church family is being asked to donate gently-used children’s books from our homes for the children of Houston. They will be sorted and distributed to the children by the non-profit organization Books Between Kids.
LakeView Church is participating in Operation Christmas Child again this year. The Samaritan's Purse Project Operation Christmas Child collects shoe boxes - filled with school supplies, hygiene items, fun toys and notes of encouragement - and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God'd love in a tangible way. Samaritan's Purse has collected and delivered more than 135 million gift-filled shoe boxes to to children in more than 150 countries. For many children, this is the first gift they have ever received.

We're offering LakeView Essentials to present an overview of our church and to share what we believe about God the Father, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, and why we’re here. We’ll also answer theological questions that you and others have.
Join as as we study "Brave: Honest Questions Women Ask," by Angela Thomas-Parr. Angela looks boldly at some of the fears and struggles of being a woman, and she helps us see how we can be brave in the face of those challenges. The study includes DVD teaching lessons, small group discussion, and individual study. Register by September 13.

Over nine weeks, we will learn what it means to be a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. It's Back-to-School time and kids will need school supplies and backpacks! Lakeview Church has a special partnership with our neighbor, Sandhill Elementary School, grades Kindergarten through 5th grade. Our goal is to collect enough supplies to fill 9 backpacks for each grade ... 54 backpacks full!
The Bible Overview study will be presented by Jonathan and Tukta Glass, missionaries serving with YWAM in Chiang-Rai, Thailand. We'll meet in Room 111 from 8-11am, July 12-14. Open to teenagers, women, and men.
