I'm a native of Missouri, where the rivers run, and I love to fish, camp, canoe, hike, pretty much anything outdoors. I received the Lord at a young age, but didn’t really “own” my faith until I was 19, when I decided to stop borrowing my parents’ faith and make it my own.
Following God’s call into vocational ministry, I studied music, graduating from Culver-Stockton College (B.M.Ed.) in 2006, and from Moody Theological Seminary (M.Div.) in 2016. I met my wife, Corinne, in college, and we have four boys, Asher, Jack, Elliot, and Graham.
I have served on-staff as Worship Arts Pastor at Central Baptist Church in Springfield, IL, and as Associate Pastor at Pontiac Bible Church in Pontiac, IL. I'm passionate about leading a church to create glimpses of the Kingdom of Heaven through heartfelt worship, biblical teaching, relational discipleship, intentional outreach, and radical generosity.
I'm also a hobby-geek who loves all things tech, and my favorite fictional work is the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I continue to study theology as a Th.M. student at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and I hope to someday obtain a Ph.D. As a musician, I play piano, saxophone, and guitar, and love blues, jazz, rock, and Americana music.
