What kind of church is LakeView?
We love Jesus. Our mission is to transform lives through a vital relationship with Jesus Christ. We love people. We value growing intentionally, relating authentically, serving faithfully, and reaching outwardly. We are associated with the Evangelical Free Church of America. You can also read more about what we believe.
What are your weekend services like?
Our worship service is about celebrating who God is and what He's done (and is still doing) in us and in this world. We do that with music, giving, prayer and a message from the Bible. If you want to hear what our messages are like, you can listen to them online.
What will happen the first time I visit?
We're a friendly church, but we won't make you stand up in front of the congregation and introduce yourself! We'd be glad to show you around, but if you want to be anonymous for a while that's fine, too.
What should I wear?
Some people dress really casual, others dress up. You're welcome either way–just wear clothes!
Where are you located?
What about my children?
We have a children's ministry called LakeView Kids, as well as a youth ministry for middle school through high school students. On Sunday morning we have a nursery available for infants and toddlers. Older children start worship with their families and later are dismissed to LakeView Kids.
How can I meet other people and get connected?
There are lots of ways to get involved! A few of the best ways are in a Life Group, Men's and Women's ministries or Doing Life Together. For your kids we have LakeView Kids and Youth Group which is a large gathering of students and also the opportunity to go deeper in discipleship small groups.
Why do you have life groups?
Life groups are an important part of LakeView; in fact, you haven't fully experienced the church until you've experienced our small groups. These groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As LakeView grows, small groups allow us to "stay small" and connected. Groups are available for all ages and stages - The primary goals of a Life Group are community and discipleship. Life Groups do things like serving, studying, and having fun together. They bring encouragement and strength to your relationships, careers, ministries, and faith.
