Mark Krizan

I grew up on a dairy farm near Ladysmith, WI in a family of 7 children with parents who gave me a solid education in the Christian faith from the Missouri-Synod Lutheran point of view. I was baptized as an infant and confirmed as a young teenager, but through God’s grace was saved at age 18. During my early years away from home, I was not discipled, but as I started my land surveying career in Menomonie (1982), God provided a co-worker and my church to begin discipling me in my new, personal faith in Jesus Christ.

In 1980, while attending MATC in Madison, I met my best friend and wife, Lynn. She accepted Christ as her personal savior in 1981 and three years later, we married. We’ve lived in Menomonie, Beaver Dam, and moved to Oregon, WI (Lynn’s home town) in 1989 where we raised our 3 children, Tyler, Josh and Makayla. We are presently “empty-nesters”.

Since graduating from MATC in 1982, I have worked with various civil engineering firms. I've been employed as a land surveyor on Madison’s west side since 1997. Lynn worked half days for the Dept. of Corrections while our children were at home. Since moving to Oregon, we’ve attended Lakeview and have been involved in various ministries. Some of my service opportunities included the Nursery, assistant 5th grade teacher, Children’s Ministry welcome team, Men’s Ministry lead team, snow removal team, Welcome Team, the count team, one term as Elder, short term mission trips, singing in a quartet, and acting and singing parts in various church productions.

I have a passion to help men grow in Christ to be positive role models and leaders in their homes and abroad. I also desire to see failing marriages thrive since Lynn and I have benefited from various helps and programs including Retrouvaille in Madison.

I have seen Lakeview grow through many changes over the years. I'm excited about the direction God is leading us, especially the many opportunities He’s given us to interact with and reach out to the surrounding communities.

I humbly ask you to pray that I would give honor and glory to our Lord and Savior, show God’s love to the people in my life throughout the week, walk closely with Him, seeking God’s direction for myself and for the church body, and serve with a humble heart.
