I grew up outside Detroit, MI where I developed a love for Motown, Detroit sports, and working on cars. My faith became my own in 9th grade when my mentor taught me what it means to truly love the Lord with everything. It was at this time that I felt the Lord calling me to vocational ministry.
I graduated from Cedarville University (B.A.) in 2008 and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div) in 2012. It was at Trinity that I met my wife, Nerissa, who was working there for the summer. We have two boys, Ezra and Miles.
Some of my ministry experiences include church planting in the Philippines, serving as a middle school youth pastor in Brighton, MI, preaching in India, and being part of a team of youth pastors in Hungary with Send International. Through these experiences, I felt the Lord’s call specifically to youth ministry. I am most passionate about the gospel and love leading youth to “make their faith their own.” I have a heart for missions and discipleship.
I am mostly left-handed, can circular breathe but cannot whistle. I enjoy watching baseball and hockey, as well as playing Ultimate and Rugby. I also enjoy audiobooks and cooking with Nerissa.
