Karen and her husband Dave both grew up in Stoughton. They were married in 1983 and have two sons, Austin and Michael. They enjoy spending time as a family playing games and traveling.
Reading the Bible and praying have been a part of her life since childhood. Even so, it took 30+ years leading a secular lifestyle before accepting the gift of salvation and asking Jesus to be Lord over her life. Karen’s been a passionate follower of Christ ever since. She loves to study and teach God’s word to kids - especially pre-teens and older.
Karen’s heart’s desire is to keep the Lord ever before her as summed up in Psalm 27:4. “One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”
This is followed closely by her desire to honor the Lord in all she does as described in Colossians 3:23-24. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
