Ryan attended church all his life, but didn't know what it meant to follow Jesus until life got really tough during his freshman year at UW-Madison. God used the difficulty of that year to bring Ryan into a relationship with Him. Soon after that, he met his wife Erin at a Bible study and has been smitten with her ever since. Being a father to their four children is one of his greatest joys, and the responsibility to disciple and teach their children about Jesus is one of his top priorities.
He works as a software developer, but in his free time he enjoys tabletop games, triathlons, wilderness backpacking and sushi. Ryan and Erin grew up in Minnesota, but they love living in Stoughton where they can still be Vikings fans.
Ryan is involved with leading a life group, DLT ministry (singles, couples, + young families), and preaching. In the past, he has served as a youth leader in student ministries and as the comedic host in KidStuf (a monthly children's ministry drama). He is passionate about being part of a community of Jesus-like people doing Jesus-like things.
