Proverbs (well, really the whole Bible) is a treasure trove of wisdom for life. It teaches us how God designed life to work. This week Pastor Andy turns to Proverbs 3:1-12 to unpack it’s teaching in how we relate to God, which in turn changes everything else in our lives.
Pastor Andy continues the series through Proverbs by looking at Proverbs 2:1-22. This “wisdom poem” from the Old Testament shows us just a few of the benefits that come from living by God’s wisdom.
Solomon asked God for wisdom, and God granted it to him. Solomon wrote most of Proverbs, including the theme of the book, Proverbs 1:7. Mike Moll discusses worldly wisdom versus Godly wisdom. He also looks at what made Solomon ask for wisdom. What is it that he wanted to know how to do? What is the application for us today, and for LakeView Church at this time?
Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train a child in the way that he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” But does that really mean that raising kids in a godly home guarantees they’ll grow up to follow Jesus? What about all the kids who were raised well, but walked away from God as adults? Pastor Andy continues our series, Lies Christians Swallow, by looking at some parenting wisdom from the Bible.

Pastor Andy kicks off a new series, Lies Christians Swallow, by looking at a common misconception about God’s will. Does God really have a “blueprint” for our lives?
