Why do we celebrate Easter? What is the significance of the resurrection? Does it really matter that Jesus lives? These are the questions the Bible answers in our Easter celebration worship service.
Pastor Andy turns to Matthew 28:16-20 to assess the church’s mission and what God has next for LakeView.
God is someone who can be trusted. We can put our confidence in him. Pastor Alex looks at Psalm 11 to see how God is both near to us, and in control of the big picture, so we can put our full trust in him.
What is the best part of knowing Jesus? Some might say forgiveness. Others, freedom from addiction. Still others would say it’s the peace and joy they’ve found in Christ. And most would probably say the promise of eternal life is the best part of knowing Jesus. While all those things are true and good, Pastor Andy preaches from Luke 10:38-42 to show us what the best part of knowing Jesus truly is.
Pastors Andy Fuqua and Alex Unis, and elder Ryan Horrisberger give a “state of the church address.” Together we look at the state of the Church in the world today, what God has been doing in our own church of LakeView, and where God is leading us as we move forward.
At the heart of most New Year’s resolutions is the desire to be happier. But what is happiness and how can we pursue it in 2018? Pastor Andy teaches three lessons about the pursuit of happiness from Psalm 1.
Pastor Alex brings the story of Hosea and Gomer. God told Hosea to marry an unfaithful woman, named Gomer, as a living parable and a symbol of the ancient Isrealites' unfaithfulness to God. In spite of her adultery, Hosea forgave her and redeemed her and restored their relationship. In the same way, God loves us unconditionally–even when we are faithless, He is faithful. God loves us, God loves you, with a never-stopping, unbreakable, eternal covenant love.
