It seems there are as many beliefs about what happens after you die as there are people. Are any of these beliefs based in truth and does it even really matter if we know what happens after we die? The Bible has a lot to say about this topic. In this message Ryan Horrisberger, one of our elders, will explore six major things we know about what happens after we die and discuss how knowing these things helps us to live a more confident, purposeful, and God-glorifying life.
Do you tend to be a rule-keeper or a rule-breaker? How do rules and laws relate to right and wrong? What is right and wrong, anyway? Pastor Andy brings the fourth message in our series Stuff Christians Believe as we see what the Bible has to say about living a righteous life. Hint: It's not about following the rules!
What is the meaning of life? Philosophers have spent lifetimes debating and arguing that very question. The world has many ideas about why we exist, but they all fall short in some way. In this third message from the Stuff Christians Believe series, Pastor Andy examines how the Bible answers the question, Why am I here?
“Who am I?” is a question we all have to ask ourselves as some point. Mike Moll discusses the answer to this question from a biblical perspective. We are all created and loved by God, but because of sin, we are born separated from God. God calls us to faith in Christ so that we can be reconciled to Him and adopted as His children. When we place our faith in Christ, we are new creations and our eternal destiny changes, but we must learn to renew our minds and walk in our new identity. God’s love for us is not based on our performance, but is based on our being his beloved children, clothed with the righteousness of Christ.
The word “Christian” has almost completely lost its meaning in today’s world. What does it mean to be a Christian? What do Christians believe? What values do we hold? What are some of the things Christians do? Pastor Andy starts a new series that will weave in and out over the next couple of years as we explore what it really means to be a Christian. It begins with what we believe, specifically what we believe about God. That is the fundamental question of life, because what you believe about God determines everything else. Join us as we explore some basic Christian beliefs over the next five weeks.
